How can checking noise levels inside bedrooms at night influence your flat choice?

Daytime site visits hide a lot. Traffic feels normal, neighbours are out, and the area seems peaceful enough. But nights are when the truth comes out—late honking, loud nearby bars, barking dogs, noisy generators.

Standing in the bedroom at night, even for a short while, tells you what you’ll actually sleep with. Is there a constant buzz? Sudden loud sounds? Voices from a nearby restaurant? If you’re a light sleeper, this matters more than the colour of the wardrobe or fancy false ceiling.

You can fix interiors later. External noise is much harder to escape from once you’ve shifted in and unpacked everything.
