Lots of tiny frames can look cute in photos, but if not planned perfectly, they end up feeling busy and slightly chaotic. Your eye keeps jumping from one small picture to another, never really resting.
One larger artwork anchors the wall. It gives your gaze a central point to land on, and the rest of the room breathes around it. The wall still has personality, but it doesn’t shout.
You can always build a gallery wall somewhere else. For many rooms, especially calmer spaces like bedrooms or reading corners, one strong piece is more soothing than ten small ones.
