Kids love sharing secrets to feel close to their friends. Unfortunately, a building gate code or digital lock PIN is not the kind of secret that should be shared. Once it’s out, you don’t know who else hears it, repeats it, or misuses it.
Teaching kids clearly—“Yeh code sirf family ke liye hai, kisi friend ya outsider ko kabhi nahi batana”—creates a boundary. You can even explain that if their friends need to come over, they should always be brought in by an adult.
It’s a simple rule, but it closes one easy path for someone with bad intentions to slip inside.
